Rising damp in masonry can lead to considerable damage. The first signs may be discolouration, mould growth or a musty odour. If untreated the plaster, mortar and even the brickwork can be damaged as a result of salt crystals forming within the pores of the structure.
The Waterproofer can insert a new, fully functioning, chemical DPC by injection.
The KÖSTER range of horizontal barriers includes materials for pressureless capillary injection that will function even in saturated, salt-laden conditions. The internal wall will normally be finished with restoration plaster to aid drying out, and block the formation of salt crystals on the surface. |
